The film is a layered and experimental combination of onscreen text, recent performance footage, archival footage and new interviews that compellingly mirrors the aesthetic of perhaps the most famous avant-garde jazz ensemble of all time, paralleling the arkestra as it once existed with the way it exists today, currently under the leadership of longtime member Marshall Allen.
